PLANK / The details of measurementWhen you need this service
Metrological attestation may apply to individual instruments subject to state metrological control. Modified instruments and measuring channels first require a review of documentation and conditions of use. We assess exceptions and the appropriate procedure before work begins.

Procedure outcome
Successful completion of the prescribed procedure leads to a metrological attestation certificate and registration in Kazakhstan’s state measurement register. The final documentation depends on the stages performed.
Service conditions
Attestation is performed by the State Scientific Metrology Centre. Software attestation is considered where a metrologically significant component exists. Metrological attestation of an instrument differs from attestation of testing equipment.
Frequently asked questions
Which instruments may require metrological attestation?
Applicability is assessed for an individual measuring instrument against its intended use and legal status. An individual instrument, a production series and testing equipment have different routes.
Is software documentation required?
If software affects measurement results, its version and metrologically significant functions need to be documented. The instrument and work programme determine the exact file.
